Sporting Trials Cars

Sporting Trials (sometimes known as “mud plugging”) is one of the oldest recognised motor sports in the UK. The idea is to get the trials car as far up a steep and muddy slope as possible, negotiating tight turns and undulating terrain, whilst making sure that the car does not stop going in a forward motion at any point. To achieve this the main ingredient is not speed but skill and co-ordination. With the natural ability of the car taken for granted and with our instructor sitting beside you, it will not be long before that seemingly impossible climb may be achieved.
1.5 hour experience – £77.50 per person

Restrictions: Minimum age is 11 years old.  Max weight is 20 stone.  If you are extraordinarily tall or short, or feel your physique may impair your enjoyment of this activity in any way, please check with the centre when booking.

Duration/Group Size:  Please allow 1.5 hours for this experience.  Please arrive 15 minutes before your start time.  You will be sharing this activity with up to three other people.

What to Wear/Equipment:  The centre will provide all safety equipment needed, but please wear comfortable casual clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting dirty.  In wet weather a change of clothes is advisable. Waterproofs are provided.

Spectators/Dogs: Spectators are welcome, although viewing may be limited for certain activities.  Please note that no dogs are allowed on site.

Weather: This experience is not generally affected by extreme weather conditions.  However, if in doubt please contact the centre directly.

Location: Ashtree Farm, West Malling, Kent

Refreshments: There is a pleasant indoor meeting space and a drinks vending machine.

Availability:This experience is available most Saturdays throughout the year at Ashtree Farm.  However please speak to the centre directly to discuss alternative days.

Cancellation: Should it be necessary to cancel the activity due to bad weather or other circumstances beyond our control, we will arrange an alternative date. Please note that activities booked are non-refundable. Should you be unable to attend on the date you have booked please contact the office at least one week prior to the event and an alternative date will be arranged for you. Unfortunately we cannot honour cancellations made after this date.

Insurance: Public Liability Insurance is included.
