INEOS Grenadier Off Road Driving Experiences
Introducing the INEOS Grenadier! This driving experience lets you test this new-to-the-market off roader on acres of private land near West Malling in Kent. You can choose a private one-to-one drive, or join a shared group experience.
The INEOS Grenadier. It looks kind of familiar doesn’t it? This impressive 4×4 is the pet project of INEOS chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who thought it was a shame when the iconic Land Rover Defender ceased production in 2016.
Billionaire Ratcliffe wanted to produce a worthy replacement to the Land Rover Defender. The car’s designer Toby Ecuyer summed it up when he said : “Let’s build a better one, something that doesn’t leak and is comfortable. After all, this isn’t 1948. We can move on.”
And we think he’s done it with the Grenadier. It certainly looks the part. Boxy and rugged, the Grenadier stands proud, giving off those classic off-road vibes of being an utterly dependable vehicle on tricky terrain.
Half Day Shared Experience – £137 per person
Maximum 3 to 1 tuition
This activity is for individuals who want to go away with some real knowledge of the workings of the INEOS Grenadier and to experience just how capable these machines are when driven correctly. This experience starts with a classroom session prior to our instructor taking you out on the demanding off road driving course where you will get to drive on woodland tracks and steep slopes putting into practice everything you have learnt.
1.5 Hours Exclusive Experience – £189 per vehicle
Based on 1 to 1 tuition but you can add guests/passengers if required
This activity is aimed at those who want to get a little more driving time and get the chance to venture onto some of our more demanding woodland tracks and steep slopes.
Full Day Shared Experience – £226 per person
Maximum 3 to 1 tuition
This driving experience starts with an in-depth classroom briefing on four-wheel drive systems, driving techniques and is followed by an initial demonstration drive by our instructor. Each person then drives the vehicle, gaining experience and confidence as the day progresses. Having completed the full day experience, you will have received training based on a ‘Standard BORDA’ (British Off-Road Driving Association) qualification.
Half Day Exclusive Experience – £411 per vehicle
Based on 1 to 1 tuition but you can add guests/passengers if required
This activity is run on exactly the same lines as the Half Day shared activity but is aimed at individuals who want to get a lot more from the experience. Apart from the instructor demonstrations you get to do all the driving, you’re not sharing with anyone else, so your confidence and ability will improve throughout the session resulting in you being able to tackle much steeper ascents and descents.
Full Day Exclusive Experience – £678 per vehicle
Based on 1 to 1 tuition but you can add guests/passengers if required
This experience is aimed at the real 4×4 enthusiast or “Green Laner”. As with the shared experience, it starts with an in-depth classroom briefing on four-wheel drive systems and is followed by an initial demonstration drive by our instructor. You then have the vehicle to yourself with just our qualified instructor sitting beside you. You’ll gain experience and confidence as the day progresses and having completed the full day experience; you will have received training equivalent to a ‘Standard BORDA’ (British Off-Road Driving Association) qualification. With this activity, if you have anything specific you would like to get from the day, we can tailor the course accordingly.
What you can expect:
This driving experience provides an opportunity for individuals to personally test the INEOS Grenadier. Located at a Mid-Kent driving centre near West Malling, the terrain at this facility serves as the ideal testing ground for the vehicle. Spanning over 200 acres, the centre features undulating tracks that traverse fields and woodlands. The challenging landscape is perfectly suited for the capabilities of the Grenadier, allowing participants to navigate through various obstacles and terrains with ease.
You can join a small group, taking turns at the wheel to fully experience the vehicle’s capabilities. Alternatively, exclusive packages are available where individuals can have a dedicated instructor to themselves, providing a more personalised experience.
Our extensive off-road driving facility provides a challenge for both experienced 4×4 drivers and beginners.

A ‘Shared Experience’ allows for 3 or 4 participants depending on which experience you are doing. Please note, that if the session is not full, then the running time of that session may be reduced accordingly. For example, a 3 hour session for 3 people that only has 2 people booked in may be reduced to 2 hours.
