4×4 Off Road Driving Experiences
The Wright Event is one of the most experienced off-road driving operators in the country and is an accredited member of the British Off-Road Driving Association (BORDA).
We provide professional training to numerous commercial organisations and individuals wanting to experience 4×4 off-road driving as a leisure activity. With our qualified instructor beside you, we will ensure that you fully enjoy your driving experience as you tackle slopes you wouldn’t believe were possible.
Our off-road driving facility provides a challenge for both experienced 4×4 drivers and beginners.

1.5hr Shared - £53 per person
Maximum 3 to 1 tuition
This is a fun 4×4 taster session aimed at individuals who have not previously been off-road in a 4×4. This session will provide you with an overview of how the 4×4 works and demonstrate its capabilities.
1.5hr Exclusive - £159 per vehicle
Based on 1 to 1 tuition but you can add guests/passengers if required
This activity is similar to the 1.5hr taster session (above) but is aimed at those who want to get a little more driving time and get the chance to venture onto some of our more demanding areas with woodland tracks steep slopes.
Half Day Shared - £114 per person
3 to 1 tuition
This activity is for individuals who want to go away with some real knowledge of the workings of a 4×4 off roader and to experience just how capable these machines are when driven correctly. The session starts with a brief classroom session before our instructor puts you to the test on our demanding course of woodland tracks and steep slopes whilst you enjoy an exhilarating and fun experience.
Half Day Exclusive - £342 per vehicle
Based on 1 to 1 tuition but you can add guests/passengers if required
This activity is run on exactly the same lines as the Half Day shared activity (above) but is aimed at individuals who want to get a lot more from the experience. Apart from the instructor demonstrations you get to do all the driving, so you’re not sharing with anyone else, resulting in your confidence and ability improving throughout the session resulting in you being able to tackle much steeper ascents and descents.
Full Day Shared - £189 per person
Max 3 to 1 tuition
This driving experience starts with a classroom briefing on four-wheel drive systems and is followed by an initial demonstration drive by our instructor. Each person then drives the vehicle, gaining experience and confidence as the day progresses. Having completed the full day experience, you will have received training based on a ‘Standard BORDA’ (British Off-Road Driving Association) qualification.
Full Day Exclusive - £567 per vehicle
Based on 1 to 1 tuition but you can add guests/passengers if required
This experience is aimed at the real 4×4 enthusiast or “Green Laner”. As with the shared experience (above) it starts with a classroom briefing on four-wheel drive systems and is followed by an initial demonstration drive by our instructor. You then have the vehicle to yourself and with our qualified instructor sitting beside you. You’ll gain experience and confidence as the day progresses and having completed the full day experience; you will have received training equivalent to a ‘Standard BORDA’ (British Off-Road Driving Association) qualification. With this activity, if you have anything specific you would like to get from the day, we can tailor the course accordingly.
4x4 Off Road Driving Restrictions
Age: Minimum age is 11 years old for an exclusive experience and 18 years old for the shared experience. (For the full set of restrictions, please refer to the individual activity page.)
Height: No height limit.
Weight: No weight limit.
A ‘Shared Experience’ allows for 3 or 4 participants depending on which experience you are doing. Please note, that if the session is not full, then the running time of that session may be reduced accordingly. For example, a 3 hour session for 3 people that only has 2 people booked in may be reduced to 2 hours.
